At Washington Irving Elementary School we have a Second Graders Authors Reading Club. The second grade teachers are studying the following six authors:
Jan Brett Marc Brown
Stephen Kellogg James Marshall
Tomie de Paola Audrey Wood
To be a member of the Authors Club your child must read one book of his choice by each of the six authors.
After writing the titles and signing that your child has read all six books, please return the form (which can be found at the link on the this page) to the Media Center.
Your child will receive a membership card and be invited to a special party in the spring.
You have the entire year to complete this project.
There is a list of titles of each author at the links found under their name.
You may read books from the Media Center, the public library, or your own copies.
There may be other books by these authors that are not listed.
You may read any book of your choice.
